WHERE ARE WE?
We are in the community of Guerrero Negro, Baja California Sur (Mexico). We carry out our tours in a very special place in the Ojo de Liebre Lagoon called Punta Mariscal, a place with the highest concentration of gray whales in the area.
Whales come to this particular place to have their young and to rest during the winter after a long journey from Alaska. For that reason every year we receive visitors from all over the world.
WHEN ARE THE TOURS AVAILABLE?
Our sighting tours are available every day during the gray whale season during winter, from January to the end of March.
WHAT DOES THE TOUR INCLUDE?
The tour departs from the meeting point in Guerrero Negro, Baja California Sur. There are two times available for departure: 8 am and 10 am.
From there, you are taken to the boarding point, Punta Mariscal (a 45 min. trip through the protected natural area of the El Vizcaíno Reserve), where a two-hour gray whale watching tour takes place.
Finally a lunch is provided and visitors are returned to the meeting point in the Guerrero Negro town. The approximate duration of the complete tour is 4 hours.
WHERE TO STAY?
The Guerrero Negro town has lodging options that fit all budgets and for all levels of demand. Below, you will find the link to places where you can make your reservation.
Also, we have a camping site next to our embarkation site, right in the heart of the Vizcaíno Biosphere Natural Reserve, a great option if you are looking for the adventure of being close to nature.
